“The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.”

There are so many more eloquent and beautiful ways of expressing photography, but I think Dorothea Lange’s words above sum it up short and sweetly for me.

I’ve held a camera plenty of times in my life to capture an eventful moment… but not really just for the purpose of refining my own vision. I took over 100 pictures in my first “real photography” outing and these were the 47 photos I thought were worth sharing.

Enjoy! 🙂
